We left the Target parking lot in Kelso at 7:00 AM sharp, with only two couples having any idea where we were going to end up! But we headed north so that took away 1/2 of the possibilities. After two ferry rides and a fantastic lunch made by Robin, we drove down the ramp into Friday Harbor, in the San Juan’s!!!! While everyone was roasting down in Southwestern Washington with the summer heat, we enjoyed some very pleasant days up in the Islands.
We drove all around the island and even had a chauffeured ride to dinner in Roche Harbor for dinner. One day we went to the two lighthouses on the island. At the second one, we were fortunate to see whales breaching and showing their tails in the Sound. How exciting that was!!!
It was an awesome Mystery Run and a big ‘Thank You’ to Randy, Goldie, Robin and Gary!!!!
